House Public Speaking

08 March 2012

Children got together in their houses on Thursday morning during the House Assembly, to deliver brilliantly planned speeches about books and reading. Subjects included: the importance of reading, a kindle vs book debate, the joy of being caught up in a book that you just can’t put down and a number of impassioned book reviews – to name but a few!

We were so impressed by how confident and articulate the children were and by what a broad range of interesting points they chose to talk about. Two children from each house will be delivering their speech in assembly during book week. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
